L’MET DU PACIFIQUE HOTEL LOOKS ANCIENT & MODERN
L'Met du Pacifique Hotel is located on the south pacific coast of Vanuatu. The building is actually still in the phase of construction and was inspired by architectural ruins and spiritual symbols of the region.
The structure is set to contain 18 guest villas, a swimming pool, a sun lounge, spa facilities, a roof garden and a restaurant. The use of exposed concrete, tiles and wood draws classical elements of a previous civilization coupled with an aesthetic that draws its inspiration from an alternate world.
"Like pods of little whales, the off-form concrete villas swim together, entwining with native pandanus and rosewood trees in the face of the trade winds.
